It would have to be a union dedicated solely to medical transcription. Those who belonged to SEIU through the facilities where they worked lost their jobs all the same to outsourcing and EHRs. It would take someone with negotiating skills to work with the medical facilities and MTSOs, and they would need to be convinced why they need to use a domestic work force. It is not a good idea to give money to an organization that is offering nothing in return, but I guess that goes without saying.
