Ironic, isn't it? When you can't pay for quality you have to settle for what you can afford (if you're smart enough to not buy on credit and pay through the nose for that...) and keep replacing everything. And if you don't have great credit everything costs more (like your mortgage). Personally, I have always had a lot of empathy for welfare people in the checkout line buying a little junk food here and there. I know what it's like to live on (healthy) rice, cabbage, potatoes and sausage for years on end and how amazing it is to "splurge" on something microdecadent.
