I have been an MT, MTE, QA, and FQA for over 25 years, and I believe your opinion is the cornerstone of why our "profession" continues to regress instead of progress. If the practice of medicine continued to believe what it had always believed, then there would have been no need for Dr. Semmelweis to have discovered that washing one's hands before surgery resulted in less patients dying on the table, and therefore no need for the concept of preop scrubbing to become a requirement. If you do what you have always done, you will have what you have always had, and not one bit more than that. Ever.
