I have DSL, so things tend to slow down sometimes during the evenings and weekends - the peak times, but not always. I try to keep up with clearing out the cache and temporary files, and rebooting the computer a couple of times will sometimes help.
As a last resort, I've thought about going to FiOS (fiber-optic network) but the high cost of it is just too much for me right now. If this problem was constantly always happening, I would have to do it, but most of the time things run fairly well.
It's a hard decision all the way around, but I keep asking myself if the never-ending distractions and frustrations of the job are worth the hassle.
