Specs recommended for VDI - Becky

Posted: Aug 3rd, 2019 - 7:05 pm In Reply to: Question about VDI - With a new computer

Hello: Below are the computer specs recommended by my MTSO for VDI. I bought the system used and needed a new system very, very urgently regardless of VDI (Windows 7 - etc.)

Although it took 1-1/2 days to download the VDI onto the system - with patience on my part and listening intently to the tech support from India (Nuance of course) - I only had to put in one ticket for the foot pedal and it was fixed. I am not in agreement with ANY of this malarkey at all HOWEVER, I enjoy my account and the true IC status - not set schedule - so really there was no choice. I really enjoy my new system and VDI does not slow it down much at all because of the 16 GB RAM and the solid state drive. Brand new - this system was well over $1000.00. Hope this helps. I know there are a lot of closed minds to even trying VDI and I was for a long time totally closed minded. So glad I tried it eventually!!

SPECS:

Lenovo ThinkPad T550, 15.6" 1920x1080 display, Intel Core i7 (fifth generation) 2.6Ghz, 16GB RAM, 512GB solid state drive, no optical drive, wireless, camera, Windows 10 Professional 64-bit $430
