You can purchase the newest BOS but most MTSOs let the docs make their own rules and demands. Some say go by BOS BUT do this and do that, no hyphens, use hyphens, spell out numbers 1-10, don't spell out, use cc instead of mL even though we are supposed to use mL now, bold allergies, capitalize allergies, bold headings, underline headings, do both. All specs for each and every account are different. None of it pertains to patient care just letting the docs get it their way. There is no uniformity anymore and it ends up killing our line count and quality because every account is different. 35+ years and finally had enough and moving on. I sincerely wish you luck in the MT world.
