I had zero luck with online applications. For one thing, they want your SS number and it's mandatory. I did not want to do that. Also, they are inundated with applications. You're just a needle in a haystack.

I looked in my local paper and got a job answering phones in a mom and pop retail situation. I was 58 at the time, and it held me over until SS retirement benefits kicked in at 62. I also have a husband who likes working, and we also having been saving money for 43 years. Everyone's situation is different.

Good luck to you. Age doesn't have to be a factor! People think it is, but it's not necessarily, unless you're going for a high-powered managerial position or something.
