Personally and very strongly I feel that when the physician makes the error, and it is clearly dictated, and the MT does not catch the error..It should be counted as a physician error, and the MT should not be held responsible for taking off points; i.e., if dictated mg and it should have been mcg, why should the MT know more than the physician who has been educated with PHD and MD and so forth, the MT is transcribing what is being said, and really the error should not be counted for the MT.. (my opinion)
