Been doing this for years now..speeding through - sleepymt

Mine are usually 3600s. When I see this come up, more than likely it will be 50s of dictation and the rest is them talking to others about their patient. On more than one occasion, I had to send to QA to put it on hold because the docs were violating policy with patient information. I always wondered what happened about those incidents.

I usually crank the speed up and listen with one ear. I always put a note in the QA box noting how much was dictation and how much was silence, talking, etc.

I used to tell the PM this. I had one PM who was good and actually talked to the hospital about the repeat offenders....and the silences stopped. Now, I get so many different docs and clinics/hospitals, I rarely get the same person twice and I have a PM who doesn't care.
