I was in MT for over 40 years (started right out of high school) and absolutely loved the job until the offshoring began and then the takeover by the robots.
It became demeaning for many reasons, not the least of which was the pay cut. I should say the creative ways they came up with for cutting our pay. I was at the top of the food chain and had excellent everything. Then the bottom fell out.
I encourage everyone to move on. You will feel so much better, I guarantee it. Good luck to all.
P.S. I read an article this morning that Bank of America has raised its minimum wage to $20/hour.
