and doctor share a really close doctor-patient relationship and are of the same faith. I can imagine a patient asking their doctor to please pray for them and that prayerful moment spent with the patient being carried over into the dictated report by the doctor. I think placing it there simply documents the relationship between doctor and patient. Personally, I would rather hear a prayer dictated for a patient like this rather than some rude and nasty comments made by doctors regarding patients and their families.
