They may have VERY limited openings and a high number of applicants. I worked in the personnel department for a large corporation may years ago, and it takes a CONSIDERABLE amount of time to go through resumes/applications, testing etc. You tend also to sound like you feel you are "entitled." If I don't hear something back within a few days, I just move on.
