temp it can easily fry your entire system. Have your tried shutting it down and restarting? Not that that is much of a fix, but it may help to "reset" things. There is also a small "temperature gadget" you may already have on your system whereby you can monitor the heat of your computer to be sure it does not reach a danger point.

Sad thing is, if you had VDI installed by Nuance, I was informed they are using pirated programs. There is absolutely no way in hell to tell what may be embedded in the pirated system that is now affecting your computer. Good luck to you - this is one stinking mess. EVERYBODY is experiencing problems, and sadly those problems cut across many spectrums.
