That's exactly what is happening. For the sake of our own well-being, it's time to let go of the empty promises and listen to all the former MTs who have come back to this forum reporting their good experiences about finding better ways to earn a living and finding employers who treat them well. It's now reached the intolerable stage for so many of us still working as MTs with the list of reasons too long to add here, but we all know what they are. The best thing to do is plan an exit strategy by looking into other things that really interest us and go explore what there might be in those areas as a source of income. There are probably jobs out there we've never ever considered before that just might turn out to be something worthwhile. I think persistence will pay off - just can't give up. We're pretty smart people here and have worked hard at developing our skills and building a good, strong work ethic. We don't have to keep putting up with a miserable work situation.
