No doubt the competition is getting fiercer and fiercer there, slim pickings for US accounts with so many more Indian MT companies and MTs now. I wonder what it's up to now number-wise, and compared to US MT numbers especially?
I have never, ever begrudged Indian people trying to get work and even be MTs. I do and always will begrudge the *suits* that run their companies, though (who often seem even worse than the ones here, like this MedVoice jerk obviously is), and the fact that this is even allowed to occur considering HIPAA regulations. It's ludicrous that we have to be so cautious about HIPAA here when records are being sent out of the country to where HIPAA isn't even enforceable. It boggles my mind that it's not actually illegal to transmit any HIPAA-liable info anywhere that HIPAA is not the law. It makes zero sense.
