It's totally the wrong word for what she was wanting to say and it will affect her quality at work and possibly keep her from getting an account. I'd say this is helpful correction.
NOW, if she was just talking in general about a personal family situation and wanted advice, but used advise, there would be no reason to correct her. But she is specifically referring to MT accounts.
It's not just a misspell, it's the wrong word. OP took it in the spirit in which it was meant and did not play the victim, as you are trying to do for her.
