She can use the word advise, but not in the context she did. I don't think this was a fluke error---she used it twice.
I would advise [the s sounds like z] the OP to use advice when you need advice. (Think of the word ice.)
I don't think this is being mean. The docs all use advice and advise, so it's very important to know the difference.
