I am quite sure I was not the only MT with no work showing up day after day or only the worst VR or dictators. I applied to iScribes because I would rather make some money rather than no money. After becoming an independent scribe, I make more than $10/hr most days. I scribe for 1 provider full time and another part time. I have also scribed for 3 or 4 others on occasion as need be to help out. My regular provider is great. He is available for me to text with any questions I have and calls me by name and treats my like any other member of his office team. I have access to the medical information that I need to accurately scribe, past visits, clinical data etc. I am no longer "flying blind" with multiple, multiple docs and multiple, multiple accounts, each with different specifications. Go ahead and spew your hostility as much as you want. Some of us actually like our positions because now we have a regular paycheck.

I will also add that I was not thrilled when Nuance poked their nose in the mix as there is no love lost for that organization. Only time will tell what will happen from that standpoint.
