Some POSITIVE notes from my point of view - MT

First off, I do not work for this company nor do I plan to apply. That said, 10/hr. is a good wage for someone who is looking to supplement SS or Disability and can only make a certain amount from employment. It is also wonderful part time hours, three 8-hour days a week! And STILL you get to stay at home, saving money on gas, food, clothing. You also get to stay in a field you love, learn a NEW aspect of MT (and it will look good on your resume in the future). They are paying you to learn, you are not paying them.

I hear over and over how people are not making even minimum wage anymore with speech wreck and I myself refuse to do that at all. 10/hr. is above minimum wage in my area of the country and it's also right on par with what I could make going outside my home into retail. If you want to eventually get in a doctor's office, a virtual scribe on your resume would look good and probably quite different from the other hundreds of resumes employers get.

So before all the bashing, think outside the box a bit and consider the pros. Yes we make nowhere near what we used to but that is not going to change and if you want to stay in this field or have different requirements now due to your age, this is an option and I believe a quite viable one. JMO
