Having worked on a team that was the guinea pig for trying out different methods, a year ago we started getting 1 job at a time. It had nothing to do with low volumes. It was about turnaround, the premise being if you are stuck on a long, difficult job, the job waiting in line is being held up longer and could be done by another MT. Paranoia abounds in this company, but sometimes it is what it is.
