Not necessarily true - MTtoRN

Emergency services from any company cost a lot more than regular services.

Think about it. When you call a plumber to fix a leak at 10 p.m. on a Friday, you'll pay much more than if you turn off the water yourself and schedule an appointment during their regular M-F hours.

Same thing here. The hospitals needed transcription services on an emergent basis (or risk ticking of their physicians who have to write every record and then dictate at some later date now...3 weeks later). I have no doubt that they are paying much more per line, and probably also more based on their desired TAT.

Plus, MM is smart to offer us these bonuses because if we can deliver on an emergency basis and stay in TAT, MM has a possibility of getting the contracts.

No doubt this will be the last bonus we'll be offered for these services. The hospitals will negotiate contracts, and we will instead be on mandatory OT until the backlog is cleared.
