Thanks for the info. I'm the one who read it wrong. :-) Just an FYI, the instructions we were given to give to our providers say they are to dictate their name, the patient's name, the visit-specific ID number, and the DOS. I just double-checked, and there is nothing on there about dictating their personal ID number. We have 1 doc - my difficult doc - who uses a handheld, and occasionally the device formatting gets screwed up and loses the provider ID that gets downloaded with each job. That is the only time that I'm aware of that my account has a problem with provider IDs. Thanks for clarifying for me!
