I have the opportunity to look at reports edited and transcribed overseas and all I can say is "OMG!"
Clients also exercise no oversight over the dictation process - whatever crap the ESL dictator puts out is fine with them AS LONG AS THEY HAVE A REPORT IN THE CHART.
If Americans had any idea what crap was going into their medical records there would be a revolt like nothing you've ever seen.
The problem is, WE have no way to INFORM our fellow citizens of what's going on with regard to their medical records or we'd be violating confidentiality, privacy or something else.
I'd love to expose this whole rotten situation but you'd probably go to prison if you did.
