Company Board

technically no - not an IC

They cannot force you to make up hours you missed, but they also don't need to continue to have you as a contractor if you make yourself not available. Say you work for Home Depot as a contractor and they set you up for a job on say Tuesday with a customer, but then you decide you can't work on Tuesday, are you going to try to reschedule that appointment or just lose the job to someone else who is available?
