Herein lies the dilemma. - anon

If I drill down on accuracy, then I can't meet the lph, but rushing to make the line requirement puts myself and patients at risk of health record errors, and puts me in the position of being the scapegoat for HIPPA violations, or worse. Therefore, my choice is, and always will be, accuracy. I would rather fail based on an unattainable/unrealistic line rate, rather than have it appear that I was an incompetent MT. I owe it to myself to make the personal choice that is best for the integrity of the health record and preserves my principles. I own this decision and accept that my choice and paycheck will most likely be at odds with the goals of any transcription company whose business based on unrealized promises, projections, and software products that consistently underperform. I will accept the inevitable and have no regrets because I will know that when push came to shove, I did what was morally right for me.
