Many of us have experienced your situation. As an IC (or subcontractor, same thing), what is your understanding of who to report a situation like this to?
In my state (Michigan), my recourses are 1)small claims court (I am also owed $1000) and 2) hire a lawyer. No matter which option I choose, a judge and/or jury will determine whether I am owed the money.
So I am wondering what agency (besides the above) you will be reporting this MTSO to and if that action will have the legal oopmh to hopefully get the money owed you.
