Why would you hire a lawyer? Why not just file a motion on your own for monies owed? I would also report the company to the Better Business Bureau and contact the Labor Board. Then I would notify the company that you are doing all of that, in addition to posting on every social media site you can find to warn other MTs of this shady business practice (dont state opinions, just facts of work performed, not paid despite X number of attempts). If they threaten a slander suit, say bring it on! Then file a counter suit for nonpayment. Remember, its only slander if its untrue.
