I completely agree we all need a Mental Health Day now and then, but I have to be very careful using weather for an excuse. I actually have had to take partial shifts off due to real tornado warnings and such! Can't overuse that one or their radars will go up, ha ha! I have actually been honest one time about needing a break. I simply called my manager directly and said I just was about to go crazy and had to take a day off. She was really understanding and said that would be fine. I would never take advantage of that, but I appreciated the way she handled this. This was CS, who for a while was a TSA and, thankfully, is now back to being a manager.
