Had to go to the ER the other day - sm Posted: May 28th, 2016 - 8:53 am
In walks the doc and his scribe. Now personally, I have a huge problem with a non doctor or nurse in the room with me so they can document the encounter. I plan on complaining to the hospital. Can you refuse to have them in the room simply on a matter of privacy? Mine was not an overly "personal" exam, but still, I wasn't comfortable that someone that lives close to me, can put a face to me in public, knows why I was in the hospital.
Oh and another pet peeve, doctor's front office scheduling specialty appointments for all to hear where personal information about reason for the speciality visit, date of birth, and name of patient is given during the phone call.
