Sorry that I missed updating this post. This service is a very small one-person owned service. Last I knew, her children actually answered the phone that was the business listing. Not sure that this would be reliable constant work for anyone.
There is another service in town that has been around forever and she has a lot of trouble keeping contracts. All the local hospitals have sent their employees home and then they were outsourced, then lost their jobs to the MTSOs to offshore.
You could try to pick up your own accounts without the middle man, but most bigger offices are owned by one of the local hospitals or another corporation. Most local offices are using electronic records or templates and have no need for MTs. There are still some older physicians handwriting their charts.
IMO, you should try working for a medium-sized national MTSO.
