My blood pressure is through the roof and I'm fighting back tears as I type. I am convinced about 80% of the doctors dictating on my account are ESL. Not just ESL, but brutal ESL, like brand new English-language speakers. This is killing me.
I am very grateful to have smart doctors willing to help sick people (especially sick kids since I work for a children's hospital) and I also understand that most doctors come from other countries these days. I wish I were smart enough to be a doctor, I really do, but I'm not. I understand the critical need for these doctors, but they still need to speak bloody English for this system to work. I also realize the dictation/transcription system is dying, but so am I right now. It's killing me! Ugh.
