I looked into something similar a few months back, working for my local school bus/transportation company. They offered me a job driving a small van transporting the developmentally disabled to their work sites and/or programs. It started at $12 an hour and involved 17-20 hours a week. It would be year round with a little time off for major holidays and a few other short breaks. I did not take the offer at this time, but I am reserving it should my part-time MT job go south. I'm not crazy about the early morning run, though, as I'm not a morning person, but you do what you have to do to survive in retirement.
