It depends on how you are accessing this software. If it is downloaded to your own computer, it may work fine. If it is accessed through a third party or via a Citrix server on a Thin Client, it may not be so efficient.
I find it to be very user friendly. For the sound, there are ways to boost that, such as using auxiliary speakers and plugging your earphone/headphone directly into the speakers, from where you can adjust the volume.
