I am having a similar experience. I'm sure I might be able to get a little faster with practice, but I'm going full speed as fast as I can go and at best really averaging $8-9 per hour. I know it depends on the accounts, etc. I have been transcribing a long time. I really appreciate you verifying my suspicion. When you look on-line, labor statics claim salaries of 30-36k/year for medical transcription/editing. From my experience, I don't see that really being possible. There was a time I made that with straight typing, but I honestly don't see that happening with editing at least with the accounts I'm presently on. Thank you for sharing.
