They also bowed under to the same pressures this industry has caved to. They lowered our pay to 4.5 cents a line and we were all independent contractors, having to pay the extra social security taxes on that poor wage. And then Nuance got their big account anyway. I think the owner was just doing that (lowering the pay) to pad their retirement account before the axe fell.
