I too have Uverse and I had a power outtage recently. It just rebooted itself I guess. I didn't do anything and it was still working. I remember when the guy hooked it up, he said not to ever unplug it or turn it off, so I was kind of worried about it too, but with the outtage, it was fine and I didn't have to do anything, so probably yours is okay. I know this is late and you probably already have it working, but I just saw your post. Good luck!
