MT protocol for short leg/long leg cast - Leenda

Will someone please tell me if the terms short leg cast and long leg cast should be hyphenated, i.e., short-leg and long-leg? Thanks to all you smart peeps. I love this forum!

No Hyphen - Here is why

Using a hyphen for short arm cast, long leg cast, etc., would indicate patient has a short arm, long leg, etc. Long-leg cast is incorrect. It's the cast that's long or short, not the leg.

When addressing professional colleagues, it is always best to err on the side of politeness. There is nothing polite about referring to grown-ups as PEEPS.

My use of the word "peeps" was in reference to the slang word for "people." My sincere apologies for offending any of you professional colleagues with my flighty, rude attempt at lighthearted whimsy. Does the term "my bad" offend my colleagues as well?

I've never heard this term before, but it sounds very clear. However, I can't verify it? I have, of course, heard of a long-arm cast but just never a "club" cast. Anyone know if this is correct? This is after surgery for web space deepening and doing some ligament transfer and ligament reconstructions on the hand, when he's doing the final dressing and puts on a cast at the end of the surgery.
