Acronym or abbreviation: SOV - Regina Collins

Posted: Jul 11, 2013

I need to expand an abbreviation but don't know what it means.

Context:  In office visit notes under Plan:  "SOV one week."  Seems like it may refer to a followup visit, but can't find this one.  Anybody know???   Thanks!

SOV - INMT

Maybe,,, schedule office visit or scheduled office visit

yes, it's FUV - sm

"S" and "F" can sound nearly identical when recorded. Listen for FUV - followup visit.

SOV . . . are you transcribing peds? - xx

Sabin oral vaccine, aka polio vaccine.

good thinking! - another reason why context is important
