Mobile Broadband Internet - Blair

Posted: Mar 30, 2011

Does anyone work from a mobile broadband internet?  Looking at land to build a home and that is only internet available through my cell phone, wireless modem - have always worked via cable - anyone know anything about this - maximum usage 5 GB a month.

I use Verizon broadband USB modem for Internet. - Sunshine State MT

I have used it for 3 years now, no problems at all. I live out in the boondocks where I have no cable whatsoever (been waiting for 8 years now). Tried satelite but didn't work well on the platform I was on. I called AT&T to see if I could get a signal but they couldn't guarantee it because I'm so deep in the woods. So I called Verizon to see if I could get a signal from them and everything has been great!

I have never gone over my 5 gigabytes in a month, which is equal to 5120 megabytes, which you can keep track of daily.

Anyone With Broadband Internet, Do You Go Over 5 GB?
Aug 21, 2010

I have had it with Hughesnet and am going to try Verizon broadband.  I was just wondering if others who use it have any trouble staying under the 5 GB monthly limit.  I really only use my computer for work, work email and a small amount of personal email, paying bills, and facebook.  Very occasionally a you tube video or something like that.  I'm not sure what that all would add up to. ...

Hello: I have been given the opportunity to travel with my husband.  I was wondering if there are other MT who travel with their spouses.  What internet connections do you use?   We are looking into Mobile Hot spots, but I am afraid that with the large / high volume account I have, we will run into usage overages.   Please let me know what you all think.   Thanks!  ...

Mobile Assist Info
Apr 20, 2013

Was offered a job by this company but once they sent the email requesting all of my personal information, I felt uncomfortable sending my information to them. I know that is normal when you are hired for a position but the way they went about it, and the amount of information they required, copies of things, etc., plus wanting access to my computer immediately, but a work start date of more than a month away - made me just question sending my info to them, so I didn't.  ...

Internet Air Card

I know there is an internet card that you can buy to get you access to the internet on your computer if you are in an area without direct access. Where would I buy one? I am traveling and will be in a hotel that supposedly has internet but what happens if they don't for some reason. So I will be in range of an internet tower, just not access to wifi or a plug in internet connection. Any help would be great. Just wondering where I get one, and if you might know the cost.
