valid/invalid blanks - Totally insane - new but old

Totally ridiculous this valid blank and invalid blank. It is invalid if I don't understand it and leave a blank (which is what I am trained to do) but it is a valid blank if they however cannot understand it. I am marked off for my INVALID blanks but not for their VALID blanks. I do not now and never have left blanks without trying to fill them in. These were not post audit (at least yet) but it still upsets me in that I always maintain a high level of accuracy and now I don't even feel like trying. There are very very few reports that I send in with more than 2 blanks in them; however, I had one the other day from an ESL doctor (first time I had ever gotten him), it was a 20 to 25 minute dictation and he does not finish his sentences so therefore I had to leave blanks. He might have meant to say something but if he doesn't speak it I am not going to type it so I had to leave a blank because it made no sense otherwise. Why bother anymore??? They are just making it so difficult to hang in there when you keep getting crap like this

trying only to get knocked down again. I've always produced high-quality reports and since FIESA came along, I'm getting dinged for mistakes that I'm pretty sure didn't make, things that are totally ridiculous. I used to really like transcription, but not anymore. I can't find anything to like anymore.

I love transcription or I would not have done this for the last 30 years. I am getting points off for things like "a" and "the" and a comma (my grammar is excellent). I never thought I'd rather deliver pizzas.

Which is why after 18 months with this place, I simply log in, work, log out. If I have to leave a blank, so be it. My only goal here is to make a paycheck. I don't give a fig about anything else. I don't waste my time researching Dr. names or addresses. I'm not paid for that so I don't do it.

I've been a MT for 30 years. I have never hated my job like this before. Cannot wait to find a different field to work in.

It's very annoying for them to ding you in a form that doesn't even matter for job security for sending blanks - and if you were to guess and get it wrong they'd ding you for getting it wrong. Gees. Gimme a break. I even had one of those stupid alerts for a non-post-audit one last week for a heavy ESL that it took the fill in the blank QA person hearing a word I had wrong that was very similar in sound and meaning to what was said 6 times in 6 different places to get it - and they admitted it. They sent me a private message they hated to have to send that stupid alert but if they didn't they'd get in trouble since they make them do 100% review on all reports. For a while I was letting it crawl under my skin but I've decided to just start ignoring those stupid Fiesa 3-mails and only will care if they try to fire me saying I do bad quality. Pick your battles in life, they say.

I recently had an interview for a company I applied for last year (they opened new accounts). The interview seemed fine and I was offered the position, however I turned it down.
