Can anyone tell me what nuance pays? I heard 0.0825 for staight typing, not sure about VR. Info be appeaed. Any shift differential for nights or weekenes?

I left last month, 0.04 cpl speech and 0.08 cpl type. IF you are lucky and not under India's radar and make bonus, you got it made. Loved the job, loved the account and my team leader, I just could not take the emails MAJOR ERROR and the comma police. It is not a bad place to work.

VR lines are about 4 cpl. THere is a night differential - not much at all and forget earning their incentive - it's rigged against you!

QA editors used to make four cents a line when they only had to fix ONE or TWO corrections.

Now they have us making 50+ edits per report, and that pays the same as those rare gems you get that have one or two corections.

Pay for VR should be a flat four cents a line for reading/proofing, and include a fee for each and every one of the corrections made to the report, then all jobs you do would be weighted the same as far as production pay. The way it is now, the harder the dictator, the more corections you make -- the less money you make. It's a bogus plan.

Now of course, they don't want to do that since MTs would be back to making what we always did, and remember . . . the sole purpose of this venue was to make more money for the company.

Nuance bought out the great company for which I worked. Since that time they have decreased my cpl pay twice while calling it an "enhancement", deleted all paid holidays (you get paid for it by working it), made production bonuses so difficult to qualify for I consider them nonexistant.Horribly impersonal company. Terrible employer. Are there any good ones left?

What pittance rates DOES MQ pay these days for VR and for straight typing? (Again, as I mentioned elsewhere on the board, I ask because my department is beginning union pay negotiations as we move to using DocQSpeech for most of our work, so I expect management will be trying to use MQ's pay rates as their point of reference.) Do you think the MTSOs cut their rates to their clients who are now using VR just as they have cut their MTs rates? Seems that some MTSOs are scrambling for some reason to cut everyone's pay down (even their MT pay, not just ME pay). I've been working for Medquist/M-Modal now for 11 years Full-time. I was one of those grandfathered in that took a pay cut last year as Medquist deemed they would not pay above .10 cents a line. Has anyone received a letter about calculating your new benefit rate? I have had the same rate since probably last spring. I don't think they are calculating them every six months even though they say they do. I went on vacay in June and I am making the same benefit rate now that I was then. That was 8 months ago. I recently had an interview for a company I applied for last year (they opened new accounts). The interview seemed fine and I was offered the position, however I turned it down. The are paying 2.5 cpl SR with 1800 lines expected per day (actually was told some of the "lazier" MTs only typed 1400, thought this was rude of her to say) and ST 5 cpl but no minimum was mentioned as majotiry is SR.
