It has to be done through the ENRICH portal correct?? I haven't received my official login info and was already contacted by my TL to see how far along in training I was.  It has only been the 48 hours since the platform was intalled on my PC.  I just feel like I'm missing something.  I contacted the proper people, but have not heard back yet.  Anxious to get working Smile

Get used to is smeeps. This is only the beginning of a long period of disappointments if you are wanting to work for Nuance. They are horrible.

I've made it my life's mission to expose this horrible corp for what it is. It has stolen from me my career for which I bothered to go to school and which I so deeply loved. It has reduced it to a low paying grunt job. I am searching for another job, if it's any of your business. If you're happy with it I am assuming you're either not an MT and/or relatively new in this business so have not suffered the loss of pay, freedom of truly flexible hours, generous bonuses, paid holidays, and a management that truly appreciates your work. I have nothing good to say about this company and pity anyone who is just starting with them.

for your grief and misery. It's ALL of the MTSOs that have fallen to the monster of sound recognition and greed. Not one company, certainly not Nuance alone, is at fault.

Obviously, you didn't read my entire post before you saw red and decided to get defensive. I've been in this business, on all sides; working for a hospital, then for my own transcription service, and have gone thru 9 or more MTSOs since 1989. I DEEPLY love what I do now.....after years of bookkeeping, secretarial services, over the road truck driving and others. If I didn't deeply love it, I would certainly not be staying with it. I'm NOT a newbie, I AM an MT, a certified MT for that matter, and I've realized that how we used to do it back even 3 years ago, has CHANGED. I've gone from making $38,000 a year to a lowly $9,000 a year (just LAST YEAR, as a matter of fact) but, as I said, the way we do things now as an MT has CHANGED and I'm determined to learn this job all over again, just to be able to keep doing what I so deeply love. I've decided to "get with the flow" rather than keep complaining about how bad things are compared to how they used to be. It doesn't get me anywhere but depressed to keep thinking about how it "used to be".

Do I encourage people to get into this career? You bet I don't. But, I tell them how it "used to be" and then I tell them how it is NOW, so they can make that choice on their own. It's hard as h*ll to make any money doing this now, but it CAN be done. Especially if you open yourself up to new ways of doing things. I know it, I have proven to myself in just the last 2 months.

In summary, what you feel is your "life's mission" is truly your "lifetime jail". You're making yourself miserable by reminding yourself every day of how it used to be. I'm so sorry you are keeping yourself down.

First of all, Nuance is MY problem as I don't work for another. and I AM seeking other employment so not keeping myself down so don't worry your little head about that. Glad you're happy and satisfied with earing $9000 last year with your CMT and all. Not me. I'm worth more than that.

feeling sorry for you. I'm NOT satisfied with making $9000 a year but as *I* said, I won't be making 9K by the end of this year. When I made 9K last year, was when, like you, I wouldn't lift my head out of the sewer that you and people like you prefer to live in by throwing around trash remarks and whining to each other. Keep your big attitude, you're surely worth that.

For anyone else who cares...I work for Nuance. I've been there 15 months now. I've worked for worse and I've worked for better in the last 22 years. I don't particularly like starting with smaller MTSOs just to be bought out by M*Modal or Nuance and going thru "transition" again and I CERTAINLY don't want to get stuck with MedQuist/M*Modal again, so I'll take my chances here at Nuance. I don't like corporate greed anymore than the next person but, until physicians and hospital administrators get their heads out of you-know-where and realize that EHR is rotten to the core and patient lives are at stake, it's not going to change much.

Workhorse, I'd tell you to have a great day but I'm certain you've already convinced yourself it's a rotten one.

You're wrong again on so many levels. I'm having a great day and you just made it even better. Thank you! I, apparently, have been making a heck of a lot more $ than you and you have more years under your belt than my 14+. If after 15 months you only made $9000, face reality, you won't be making more than that in the future with Nuance, no matter how you try to adapt to their new ways. Wake up. It's a sad truth.

Welcome to Nuance, it is growing and changing and is a challenge right now but I hope you will like it here. If you are using Escription, I think you will find it easy once you wean yourself off the mouse. Best of luck!

Check your spam/junk folder. If you don't have a welcome email from them you can touch base with HR or recruiting and they'll check on your status.

I had the platform installed and then started receiving emails about training. In those emails were links to listen to audio files and then reply to those emails that you finished them. Then, you will get more emails about more training. You will keep track of all your time spent in each module training. It's VERY time consuming and you're suppose to get paid for it. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time! I've gone through orientations before, but this was just ridiculous. You have to test on these modules as well! I didn't make it past the 2nd set of training emails and gave up! I took this job as a part-time job and didn't have time to go through all these training modules. I already tested once before I got the job, but why do I need to test again in Word, etc..... Just walk me through the platform and I will get it! Also, the fact that I wasn't making but 4.13 cents per line for editing, which was 90+% of the typing, I just can't make ends meet on that!! So, I emailed my TL and told her I wasn't continuing. I also emailed my recruiter. I kept getting calls and emails from more people wanting to welcome me to the team, even after I sent those emails about not continuing. I think there's a lot of miscommunication going on there, not something I was interested in dealing with! So, good luck with your training!

Four initial recorded classes on payroll and general company stuff. Very easy, got through them in an afternoon. I emailed the trainer when I had completed them and I was sent the platform recorded classes.

The recorded classes were great because they were self-paced and I took notes. The quizzes were easy - all of the info you need is in the supporting materials or in the recordings. I had a live class with a trainer to go over the platform and a few more classes via recording.

I also got an outline in my first email that told how long the classes and quizzes would take. No surprises there.
And I had an idea about how much I would be paid for training.

No complaints from me.

I would not wish this company on my worst enemy. People deserve to know what happens here so that they can make a decision based on facts. Your experience is different than mine. That doesn't mean she should ignore the negative, true posts. I wish her the best, as does everyone here. Just because our experiences shared are not pleasant doesn't mean we wish them on anyone else. I'm glad you're happy here, too, but you have to let the rest of us have our say as well. We aren't making this stuff up.

I suspect there is at least 1 poster who is doing damage control on here daily. But, hey, that's just my thought. Some people just seem so defensive when you have something bad to say about N. Let's face it, N doesn't run things fairly and they seem to be digging themselves into a hole they can't crawl out of. I don't think they particularly like the fact that we are exposing their dirty little secrets. You can't make this stuff up and, like you said, why would we?

Am I the only one who is brain-dead from going through this training????  This has got to be the worst training I have ever gone through and I have been an MT for over 25 years.  Nowhere else has it been this bad.  Do they really try hard to make this so complicated and hard that you want to jump off a cliff before you even start???  All I can say is HELP.    ...

Is anybody else overwhelmed by the exhaustive training program provided by Nuance?  I just went through this and really had a hard time uploading their videos and getting into all the programs.  Also the fact that they do not help too much.  Maybe I am just slow as I am getting up there in age.  It does make a difference when you are older.  Did anybody get so discouraged that they just threw in the towel and quit?  I am not at all surprised that someone would ...

Then, I was looking at Amphion, and they pay new MTs for 3 months while getting up to speed? That doesn't seem real! How can anyone afford to start a new job?! ...

Every day ASR gets increasingly of base.  There are so many times when I have to sit and search each line looking for anything that remotely resembles what is being clearly dictated. It started out with maybe 35% accuracy before editing.  Now it barely makes 20%.
