Word of caution - anon

Posted: Apr 11, 2013

Be VERY careful when pulling in standards.  I have noticed today  that a lot of those I have pulled in having spelling errors, punctuation errors and incorrect words being used.

I was told not to fix the standards, that - the client wants them...

the way they were put in there.

Have you heard differently?

Standards - Mt

I dont fix them...they were put in by someone,if they are wrong that person can fix them, plus they dont dictate it so how do i know what they want or dont want.

Time is money anymore with this company. You want quality??? SHOW ME THE MONEY.

I could give a rat's butt for comma problems if it still makes sense. TIME IS MONEY!!! DON'T BLAME ME!!! BLAME THE COMPANY WHO PROVOKED US TO BE THIS WAY WHEN WE WORK!!!!
Oh... AND... I could careless anymore!!! - Company made me feel this way.

an apostrophe should be. I fix those kinds of errors and complain to TSM/QC that there are errors and they say there's nothing they can do about it. So pathetic!

Caution To Students And New Grads - Scam Alert - Do MT Work (Internship) For Free
Mar 10, 2011

There is still another scam company out there offering to help "train" students and graduates. They will kindly let you do their real work, the work clients are paying them for. This is unacceptable and unethical. It will not look good on your resume because potential employers do not look kindly on this. If, for example, they find out that you did your 'internship' with XYZ Company, you will probably never know the reason why your resume was rejected or tossed.  Working for free ...

Help Please!!!Changing Comma To Period, Capping Next Word....in Word
Nov 07, 2014

Is there a way in AutoCorrect (Word 2010) to change a comma to a period and then cap the next word to make VR go a little faster?  The platform at my old company did this automatically, but MS Word does not : ( This is so frustrating having to change from a comma to a period (or vice versa)--which as you all know happens constantly...and then change the next word to be capitalized (or uncapped)....my wrists are killing me, not to mention it takes so much TIME..... There HAS to be a better ...

Need To Convert Word 2013 To Word 2010
May 20, 2014

The MTSO that has hired me needs me to have Office 2010 Professional, whereas I have Office 2013 Professional.  They said the only reason 2013 won't work is because of the Word version.  I remember sometime back that there was a way to set your Word version to a previous version with the push of a button.  I've searched the internet for clues, but all I see are instructions for converting 2007 to 2003.  Nothing about converting 2013 to 2010.  If I can't ge ...

Anyone Work For Word For Word Transcription?
Mar 14, 2010

Just have to vent.  I have been filling out applications for days.  I know MTSOs can set any requirements they want, but you would think that if there is a very specific requirement that instantly disqualifies some Medical Transcriptionists, that would be right up there at the top, BEFORE they ask you to sign in and answer a bunch of questions (including providing reference names and attaching a resume).  I did all that, and THEN, I got the following message: "Thank you for your ...
