Has anyone taken the tier 3 test for MQ or M*Modal, whatever we are called today? I am currently taking it and having trouble with 1 of the op reports!

dont expect a raise - just saying

I was informed before I tested that passing the test would only make me ELIGIBLE for a raise, not necessarily guaranteed one. Plus the "raise" would only be 1/4 of a cent on typing and 60% of that on ASR and within the tier rate limits. Seemed like a lot of extra work and trouble for the potential of a raise and a lousy one at that.

And don't even get me started on the audit they do before you even get permission to take the test which I never found out the results on nor the fact that the lady sending out/grading the test never even sent me the invite so when I followed up on it they told me it was past the 30-day window so they had to do yet another audit before I could be invited to tier up. I gave up. I seriously do not think they want any MTs to tier up because it seems they do everything in their power to prevent that from happening.

Yes I passed the tier increase test -- so what -- all it got me was MORE DIFFICULT dictators in more difficult subjects -- same pay -- SAME LOUSY PAY! For TWO YEARS now after moving up. LOUSY to try so hard for ZIP

Tier down - I'm tier 3 and getting paid on the I - SM

lower end and would love to tier down and maybe be able to make some money with easier dictations. Ha-ha - wonder if they'd go for it?

I was just informed that I HAD to tier up. Has anybody else been told that one? I don't want to tier up. I don't get much NJA and I like the accounts I work on. I was told that I MIGHT get a raise if I did, but there was no guarantee. Why would I want to tier up without getting a raise doing the next tier's work? I just don't get it and I never will. ...

Do you type ALL work types, including tier 1 and tier 2, correct? My CCM implied that tier 3 does ONLY operative reports?? I'm tier 2 and I think I would like to try OP reports, as I've been tier 2 for quite a while. Don't want to NOT do consults and H&Ps though. This really sucks because those reports have the highest line counts, while Tier 3 does all the testing reports such as cardiology, eeg, cath reports, and surgeries. While straight typing pay may be higher for Tier 3, everyone makes the same for VR. My vent for the day. Sorry if I offended anyone. ...

What might be happening is MM is keeping high producing Tier 3 employees and India will get all the easier work. Tier 3's in America will do the hardest dictations and worst dictators. The MME's in America will then be correcting more work because India will be doing everything else. Just trying to figure out what is going on. I hit the ceiling last week and quit after 12 years with MQ part-time. I started as a tier 3 and ended as a tier 3. Topped out. I was making close to $20/hr and ended at $10/hr thanks to ASR. I work for another MTSO too that doesn't have the tier system. I get just whatever report comes into my job pool from clinic to ops. I've been at MQ for about 3 years now. CCM keeps wanting me to tier up to tier 3 so I can start doing the ops notes because we don't have enough 3s right now. However, I won't get a raise by tiering up. Has anybody ever passed the tier 2 test?? This is my second attempt at passing it and it seems impossible. You can't slow the transcription. You can't understand the words before and after the privacy tones. It's like they don't want you to pass, succeed, and reach a higher level. My regular work reports are easier to do than anything on that test, even the ESL doctors! ...

Just wondering if it is worth it to test up to tier 3 or not.
