No Letter...I don't get it...I am Tier 3, currently make 9 cpl - and 0.054 for ASR..does that mean I am not affecte

I thought I read (someone posted their letter) where Tier 3 ASR caps out at 0.005...did I not understand this correctly?

Does this pay cut mostly affect Tier 1 and 2 then? I mean are that many Tier 3 - making MORE than 10 cpl? I know I dont

I am curious how this is affecting everybody, it does not look like they changed the skill levels pay that much...am I wrong? And I guess ASR is still paid at 40%. I thought new hires were hired at ASR caps..and not paid a percentage.

Sorry..still very confused. I wish somebody would give an exact example of how they are affected by this.

I was making 0.1025 per line so my pay (strangely enough I had originally typed pain instead of pay - what a Freudian slip!) went down a 0.0025 or a quarter of a cent per line and my ASR rate went down 0.00015 per line so this will affect me probably $100 a month. There have been at times many people claiming they were making up to 12 cents a line. As always, you're never quite sure how much to believe. I assume there were at least some who were making that much.

I was making over 11 cents a line - this pay cut for me amounts to about $280 a month - that's my car payment :(

I am Tier 1, was grandfathered in at .0977 for straight transcription & .0586 (after old pay cuts) for ASR. My e-mail says new pay rate is 8 cents/line for straight transcrpiton and 4 cents/line for ASR. I am part time, with MQ since 1997. I am very blessed & not as bad off as some, already get Social Security & Federal retiree annuity & good lifetime benefits. Children all raised & gone. Have had to default on some bills.

9.77 as a tier 1??? - insane! No wonder they dropped it

You have been doing the easy work for all these years while I have been busting my behind with no raise since 2000 and barely making over what you are.

About time they leveled this field off.

Even tier 1 has to eat, don't they? Everyone's - pay is too low, no matter what level. n/m

Not true about easy work. As a tier 1 I did everything except op notes cause CCM knew I could do it. Also oncology specialty. Just chose not to test up as not worth it. As I said, grandfathered since 1997 when we got rewarded for good work w/raise. Plus always worked 3rd shift, no days off, worked both weekend days. To be clear, that is working 7 days a week.

EXCUSE ME? Been with them since 1988 - with 4 pay raises.

REMEMBER MQ WAS THE ONE WHO GAVE ME THE RAISES, NOT YOU. MQ SAID, CHECK THIS OUT, I WAS UNDERPAID. The last pay raise was 1998.

If anything,we are all underpaid, not overpaid.

Does not matter. I only have until Christmas and I will be done with school and getting out of medical transcription because there will not be many MT jobs in the future because of EMR/EHR. Learned a lot about it in college.

A few weeks ago, for no reason that I can find, I cannot get the first letter of a sentence to be in all caps automatically, (unless I do it manually.) The same for the letter " I " by itself when typed. It was always automatic and now all of a sudden it is doing this and I cannot figure out how to change it back. I was just informed that I HAD to tier up. Has anybody else been told that one? I don't want to tier up. I don't get much NJA and I like the accounts I work on. Do you type ALL work types, including tier 1 and tier 2, correct? My CCM implied that tier 3 does ONLY operative reports?? I'm tier 2 and I think I would like to try OP reports, as I've been tier 2 for quite a while. Don't want to NOT do consults and H&Ps though. This really sucks because those reports have the highest line counts, while Tier 3 does all the testing reports such as cardiology, eeg, cath reports, and surgeries. While straight typing pay may be higher for Tier 3, everyone makes the same for VR. My vent for the day. Sorry if I offended anyone. ...

What might be happening is MM is keeping high producing Tier 3 employees and India will get all the easier work. Tier 3's in America will do the hardest dictations and worst dictators. The MME's in America will then be correcting more work because India will be doing everything else. Just trying to figure out what is going on. I hit the ceiling last week and quit after 12 years with MQ part-time. I started as a tier 3 and ended as a tier 3. Topped out. I was making close to $20/hr and ended at $10/hr thanks to ASR. I work for another MTSO too that doesn't have the tier system. I get just whatever report comes into my job pool from clinic to ops. I've been at MQ for about 3 years now. CCM keeps wanting me to tier up to tier 3 so I can start doing the ops notes because we don't have enough 3s right now. However, I won't get a raise by tiering up. I took the Tier 3 test and passed. I don't know what my actual score was, but I have a phone interview later this week, and I was wanting to get an idea of what to expect as far as working at M*Modal. Has anybody ever passed the tier 2 test?? This is my second attempt at passing it and it seems impossible. You can't slow the transcription. You can't understand the words before and after the privacy tones. It's like they don't want you to pass, succeed, and reach a higher level. My regular work reports are easier to do than anything on that test, even the ESL doctors! ...

Just wondering if it is worth it to test up to tier 3 or not.
