Feeling blessed today...

There is so much negativity posted that I just wanted to take the time to say... I am happy with Medquist. I am happy with my schedule. I am happy with my hours. I am happy with my accounts. I am happy with my dictators. I am happy with my CCM. I have no complaints whatsoever. Medquist supplied me with a work computer at no charge/no rent/etc. They provided paid training on their software to make sure I understood the format and shortcut ...

I love my life, I love my husband, I love my kids, I love my dog and I love my job (mt with a part-time non-mt gig on the side). I know many are unhappy being an MT and are looking to get out and I wish all those who feel that way well and I hope that they find something that suits them. Took a test for a city job and just got notice that I did not pass. I was on of over 300 people who took the test. Happy for those that passed but wish I would have been one of them. Just quit this company. Initially had to fax my personal information numerous times because they lost it repeatedly, etc. Only allowed to type 10 reports per day on QA, unable to get off QA, QA editors never able to agree on policies and procedures. Also required to research dozens/hundreds of previous reports (no search engine available) to find information (QA stated they will not fill in blanks), which is frequently incorrect; not even making minimum wage at first. I have been a transcriptionist for the past 10 years, working in cardiology, acute care and now radiology. My very own attitude has gone from bad to worse with the 4 cpl and the fact that I am typing over most of the garbage. I was told by my CCM no F11 unless technical problems and they must be reported.
