15 minutes? - luckyducky

did anyone log in after 15 minutes after scheduled time and still got in? I downloaded a job right at the very minute my shift should have been over and it still let me download a job. Just wandering if i can take an extra 15 minutes logging in at my next shift and still get in. Did not get a straight answer from ccm. She just said it will allow you 15 minutes ahead of time but nothing about logging in 15 minutes after. TYIA.

I got in 45 minutes early, no problem. - Lockout started today.

Although we are behind on my primary account since yesterday. I decided to see what would happen if I logged on 45 minutes early and no problems at all.

on my supposed day off (but according to schedule i am scheduled for 4 hours, uh? news to me). Anyway, i was able to log on, but after about 2 hours in the system, saw I had only 1 job left and expected to find NJA, but when the report was done, received notice that I was not on the schedule and that I was not going to receive any more jobs until i contacted my CCM (lockout started today for my region).

I did sign in 17 minutes after my second shift started and it let me in. I feel a little easier now about this.

I understand that you can log in any time during - your shift, just not AFTER

So in that case if you sign in anywhere between your shift, as long as it is not after, you can complete your hours for that shift? Just trying to get a grip of all this. Last month my ccm said it will let you sign if late, but will not allow you to work past shift.

Gee, I was even able to work past my shift. - Just wanted to see if I could.

Maybe it has to do with working split shifts. Confuses the system or something.

You can definitely work past your shift.I've done so the last 2 days; 15 minutes on Monday and 35 minutes yesterday. Had STATs that needed to be done.

I was able to work my last shift and working past the time when I should have been off,but signedin 20 minutes later because of being on later in my earlier shift. I thought also it might have to do with working splits,but it sounds as if that is not the case by reading other posts.

It appears to be only counting the active time to be the actual time the audio is playing and not all the time I spend in ADT and formatting. Looks like they may be manipulating the figure to ding people "for not actively working" for long periods of time. Hmmm, building another way to fire people? ...

There was a story on the people who lost their jobs. They have COBRA, but there are no jobs, unemployment pays $200/week or so, and COBRA insurance costs $1600/month (I can't remember the exact amount). then maybe 1 or 2 short jobs and then NJA again - do we have to wait another 15 minutes or do you count the prevous 10 minutes of waiting and just wait 5 more minutes. I could go on all morning with waiting 8, 10, 12 minutes, then get 1 job, then wait 5 minutes, get a job and so on and so on. how do you know you've been paid that time by looking at your pay stub? And does it show up on your time sheets as an adjustment by your CCM? The reason I ask is because I don't believe I have ever been paid this 15 minutes of time (the waiting time when we get NJA). I asked about this recently. 73 freakin' lines because of the way the dictator did. Very slow, lots of stopping and dead air, repeating himself. In fact, he dictated the Impression 5 times and would say correction and start over. He even had the nerve to laugh and snicker and said "to start over again". I waited for 14 minutes with NJA and then 1 job came up at 14 minutes when I rechecked. I did that job and now I am again waiting now for 6 minutes. Can I count these minutes together to report NJA or do I have to start counting over again each time I get 1 job? Thanks! ...

a job does come up. I get all excited! You would have thought I won the lottery or something. I open up Schedulesource and clock in. I get into the report. Notice it is an ASR (kinda bummed, but it is a job, right?) and low and behold, it is a cancelled dictation worth 8 seconds. Doctor says, "cancel this dictation" and before you know it, I am punching out of Schedulesource and did not make 1 penny. Bummer! Did not win the lottery. Hahahah ...

I have a question about the NJA policy. On the 15 minutes downtime you get for waiting for jobs, is this just once a day or as many times as you do it in a day. For instance, if you wait for 15 minutes and no work and then come back in an hour and work a while and then no jobs do you get the 15 minutes again and so on. Thanks. ...
