NJA 15 minutes wait - ea

Posted: Jan 26, 2013

I waited for 14 minutes with NJA and then 1 job came up at 14 minutes when I rechecked.  I did that job and now I am again waiting now for 6 minutes.  Can I count these minutes together to report NJA or do I have to start counting over again each time I get 1 job?  Thanks!

no one knows - sm

you'll get all kinds of responses. I kind of lean toward the first scenario.

Count together - me

I so hate when that happens, I usually get a job at 13 minutes. It seriously messes with your inactive time and LPH, so I asked CCM and she said to total the time. Unless you want to keep working, if you need the lines.

counting them up makes it less stressful IMO-sm - cheated

It give me the freedome to go and do other things and come back and check for work. If you stay looged in you could end up with a total of hours with no work. Not acceptable to me.

Im still trying to figure out how the MT who came on here and says she clocks off, but stays logged into DSQ (What is the new name we need to start using?? lol)...and waits for jobs then clocks back on. I was of the understanding that you time clocked in had to whithin reason match the logged in time on DSQ.

I count them all up.. sm - cheated

I have always done this and never been told otherwise. I think that is probably why you have the option to change you time sheet yourself and "split time" changing 15 minutes of your time to work availability thus not counting against your production time which is how they determine your benefit rate.

My TSM says you must wait 15 minutes continuous. - not bits added together - nm

.

Who cares what the TSM says, gotta do what you gotta do - I add them up. NM

Your TSM is wrong... that affects your production - and your PTO rate.

[ In Reply To ..]
Someone needs to bring it to her attention that all that waiting time is lowering your PTO rate and also lowers your production numbers for your weekly "keep track of you update."

TSM says sign out and later add 15 minutes, and - no work here - Grrrr

[ In Reply To ..]
and that will be changed to some other payroll code so it doesn't affect PTO rate.

But..., I live in CA and have yet to receive 4 hours pay for any day there is no work. Gotta figure out how to enforce this, and if I get fired, I will be no worse off than this NJA.

You clock out of production during the 15 minutes - and clock in on work availability

[ In Reply To ..]
is what TSM said in a big memo the other day.
I get that you punch out and punch back in under - work availability, but...
[ In Reply To ..]
If you are at the 13 minute point and a job pops up, then you have to punch in under production, do the job, then punch back out and wait another 15 (to make it a solid 15), and then if one comes in at 14, then you have to start over, and now you are down 28 minutes and still dont have your 15 minutes in. That means your production time is dropped by 1/2 hour and that also lowers PTO rate.

THerefore, you should only have to wait 15 minutes cumulative, not a solid 15 minutes.
I was wondering that too! - anon32

Are you supposed to clock out of production for NJA and then to WA, then if less than 15 minutes, clock back to production and then back to WA until you get 15 minutes of WA? Why can't we get a definitive answer? Why are we here speculating on this board? Why can't TSM or CCM or whatever they are this week give clear instructions? So many questions, agree with Pet Peeve on the main board, why aren't we treated with respect, why can't we get our questions answered? Why am I still here? I deserve better, we all deserve better than this. Sorry such a long rant, but I needed to vent.
you know - you could add up sm
[ In Reply To ..]
If you are in DQS, it now shows the period of time that no job was allocated; you could just wait till those equal 15 minutes.
according to whom? - that is what this is about

Which rule do we follow? My ccm said you have to wait 15 total, not cumulative.

Some just add all the time together. I guess everyone just does whatever.

It appears to be only counting the active time to be the actual time the audio is playing and not all the time I spend in ADT and formatting. Wait On ICD-10 Before Enrolling In School?
