I LOVE the snow flakes - Jeepers Peepers

Posted: Dec 06, 2012

I'm tired of reading the negativity about the wonderful snowflakes.

Jeepers peepers people.  The snowflakes fall.  They are white, they don't get in the way of reading or writing the messages, they do not cause migraines or seizures or all the other faux complaints people are saying.  They just fall and then that's it.  It's just once a year that we have been looking forward to.  11 months out of the year you get your way and you don't get them, can you give the rest of us who want them a break and let us have them for a just a month. If it was me and bothered me so much I just wouldn't come back til they were gone, instead of trying to be a control freak and ruin the one month out of the year that many others look forward to.  Maybe kind of give us a little break instead of complaining so much.  That's like telling everyone in the country they cannot say Merry Christmas because you don't like it.

I have been thinking the same thing - kudos to you - NM

My kitten is fascinated with the snowflakes. She tried - love my kittie

to grab a few. It was one of those Kodak moments.

You are a very positive person and Merry - Christmas to you

My migraines are triggered by everything, it seems ... - grits

smells, lights, sounds, you name it.

Except, oddly enough, for these snowflakes. I'm not saying they don't trigger anybody, but if they don't trigger mine, well.... *shrug*

Where in the above thread did it say...SM - Old Anon

anything about you being evil?

uh - huh - sure

[ In Reply To ..]
Just don't understand how some people can get through the day if any slight little movement movement sets off their so called "migraines". After all if these give "migraines" it must be hard for people, because that little cursor that moves when you type is also moving, that would just be awful getting migraines just by typing.

I think if every little thing was to give me "migraines" I just wouldn't be able to get on the computer. After all never know what might happen. Or if there was a fly in my house, gosh that would just my migraines off. Lets see, those water droplets coming down from my shower head, that's got to be rough, heaven forbid if I have someone who lives with me because their movement might set off my migraine. Forget looking outside if it's raining I'd be down for a week with migraines.

So, yeah, sure. Uh-huh.

sure...okay, bye bye

I don't think you read her post - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
Grits' point was that the snowflakes Do Not trigger her migraines, while some others have claimed they do.

No need to be snippy with Grits, since you two seem to be on the same side of the issue.
OOPS...MY mistake - I did read it wrong - Sorry grits

I think I will get some more sleep before I attempt to read this site anymore. I feel like that saying - something bout keeping quiet and appearing to be a fool than say anything and everyone knows you are.

sorry grits.
No worries - grits

I reviewed that post after I submitted it and thought, well, that would be easy to misread.

I really need to make my posts editable :)

And thanks to the poster before this one for catching it, too

I hate them and am sick of reading about how evil I am. To each his own. NM - anon

oh for goodness sake! - nm

[ In Reply To ..]

Huh? Please point out in my post where I called anyone evil - get a grip

[ In Reply To ..]
Never called you "evil". For Pete sake how about people not try to be control freaks. You get 11 months of snow flake free. We get just one month.

WE LOVE the snowflakes.

WE HATE insentience whining.

And we REALLY HATE people saying we said things we didn't.

I know! Jeesh. I don't like them either, not - Kiki

[ In Reply To ..]
bc I am a scrooge--they just obstruct the screen when I'm trying to read posts!

I think instead they should be little Pac-Men labeled as - Nuance or M*modal, gobbling up smaller MTSOs.

Hee.

love it! - that would be funny

Snow?
May 31, 2012

I've never heard of "snow" in an operative report.  He very clearly says snow, but I can't find it to confirm the spelling...Snow, Sno...etc.  Anyone heard of it? "Snow was then placed over the vaginal cuff, and over the top of that Interceed was placed to prevent pelvic adhesions postoperatively." ...

No Work Due To Snow!
Jan 13, 2011

We usually have plenty of work, as the company does not over-hire, and we even get OT frequently.  Right now, because of the snow where the accounts are located, there is very low patient load and work is sooooo slow we can't even make the minimum line requirement.  This could go on all winter!!!!!! ...

No Work Due To Snow In The Midwest!!!!
Feb 02, 2011

Usually swamped.  Clients located in the midwest not seeing patients.  Can't decide what to do, go out and play, read a book, clean my office, or take a nap.  I feel like I am playing hookie or something.  Very unusual to be bored on a weekday. ...

ETransPlus And Snow Bunny
Sep 08, 2011

Interested to know how eTransPlus is going for Snow Bunny.  She has been on this board for years...if in fact it is the same person.  She was always helping with words and such.  Intrested to see if this is a good or bad company and what she thinks.  It will take time though to see.  Even if good, eventually greed takes over for all these companies. Plus they all seem to have their favorites who cherry pick, so if you come on board, you have to work your way up the cherr ...

That the transcriptionist sitting at home is doing the dictating or re-dictating for the Dragon equipment. I told them about a friend who had and found it a time consumer. She was not an M.D., dictator, a transcriptionist who had hand issues. It is late here and I am heading towards bed but please let folks know about you can use it and teach on the home side. ...

Echo Dictation Redux, Question For Snow Bunny
Oct 24, 2011

Ok, moving ahead with my plan to up my productivity by doing echo dictation, redictate the reports and up my straight typing speed using voice recognition software. Looking at the new Dragon 11.5 for 145.99 on Amazon.  Want to know if this will do the trick or if must I bite the bullet and get the Dragon Medical (with the 30,000 word medical dictionary) which I am sure is MUCH pricier. Wanna get started on this ASAP, and can have the product from Amazon in a couple of days. Suggest ...

Have to say, I love Mmodal.  My CCM is caring and considerate and kind.  Also, love the pay and hardly ever running out of work but when we do, that is a nice break for me.  I just put the pedal to the metal and don't take anything posted here to heart cuz, lots of angry people just wanting to take you down.  Pass on the love!!! ...

"snow-plowing" A Cardiac Vessel?
Oct 13, 2011

Has anyone heard this term?  I've been doing caths for 15 years and never heard this.  He has a heavy accent so it's not totally clear that is what he is saying.  The context is a cath report - "no intervention because of the risk of (s/l snow-plowing) the vessel".  Thanks! ...

A new ESL dictating a DS. Can't speed him up because he's too "new" (to this country?). He is spelling every other word!!!!!! AND then spells it again - extubated, e-x-t-u-b-a-t-e-d, extubated e for elephant, x for crosses, t for tom, u for umbrella, b for .......... get the picture (sigh)? On top of that, the report is 28 minutes long!!! Should never have gotten out of bed this morning. LOL I do feel bad for him that he doesn't realize he doesn't have to spell every other ...

Why I Love VR
Dec 20, 2009

Hey, I don't actually type that crap, ya know!  I have way too much dignity to be associated with that garbage for the pittance they are paying.  However, looking at the crap that VR produces that is included in patient records, I realized, hey, why bother proofreading???  Anything I produce with my old-fashioned, stone-age, luddite TRANSCRIPTION looks a heck of a lot better than anything I've seen VR produce.  No one will notice any mistakes I might make.  The ...

I Just Love This.
Jan 21, 2010

An email gets sent out around 4 a.m. stating there is a critical backlog and asking everyone to help out.  The email shows the backlog, but it's really not that big.  Says if you have hours to make up to do it today.  This is at 4 a.m., when a lot of us are sleeping.  Panic!! I log in for my regularly scheduled shift......and NJA! Thanks a lot MQ.  Take work away from people that are scheduled to work just because you get a little panicky at 4 in the morning. ...

Feb 18, 2011

I love to be able to fill in blanks that people can't get and to help them.  I wish I could give them detailed explainations so that they can understand the why of the error or resources I used to find it.  However, because of the ridiculous pay and having to wade though ILP garbage (sorry, I don't enjoy helping them out), I'm only able to leave brief or even no messages to try to at least make what I did when being an MT.  These messages come across as rude, nitpic ...

Nov 12, 2012

I would absolutely love working for Nuance but for the fact that the work volumes are never consistent or reliable. I love my hours, my TS is awesome and I love my accounts. The benefits aren't great but I can work with what they offer. I wish they didn't practice over-hiring. ...

You Will Love It
Mar 12, 2014

Imagine 8 hours of looking up "J. A. Smith" in phone books to write down his/her phone number. Then searching for the modifier for his second line. More like insurance work or accounting (even without the numbers) than language based work.  I love the narrative of the reports I do, not the lab data. If my job were threatened, I would view it as an opportunity to learn to do something I really wanted to do, not just take the next career offered doomed for automation and overseas outsourcing. ...

For The Love Of All That Is Good!!!
Mar 23, 2010

For the last week and a half, all I have been doing is progress notes for some hospital that isn't even in my BoB.  It is worse than watching paint dry, I swear.  I'm so bored with these notes that I would rather just beat my head against the wall or pull each hair out one by one.  Anything other than making one more keystroke!
