How long would you wait on a check before - sm

starting to make some noise? I started with this small services a few weeks ago. I had some problems with my bank, so I closed out the old account and opened a new one. Well I got an email from the MTSO wanting to confirm they had no DD info for me. I said I sent it when I changed accounts (had old account info when I started). I sent the email back to them that proved it. Anyway, she said since "we" missed the deadline, she was going to send a live check. Hmmm. Anyway, I live in OK and they are in Oregon. She claims she mailed it Saturday. I am thinking I will give it until Thursday before yelling about it to anyone. How long would you all wait? I am thinking 3 days should be more than enough. I am just thinking I am not going to get paid from them.

would have done the same thing by mailing you a check. From what I understand with my company, we have to wait a pay period before our new changes will take effect. Pretty sure we still have to send in a voided check. I definitely would not have just closed out an account due to issues like this. I would move most of my money and give it a few weeks before I completely closed. I work for a great company, but when changing anything like this, I email the one who makes the changes and also HR and my manager. If I don't hear anything back, you check to make sure.

So, if it did mail on Saturday, there is a good chance that it did not go out until Monday. I would say at least Thursday. Then, yelling really will do not good if it is in the mail. With my company you have to wait so long for them to consider it lost and then they stop payment, have to recut a check and remail.

They are obviously trying to pay you if they contacted you to say they didn't have the information, so I wouldn't worry about that part.

I know they got my bank info in plenty of time and I did not close out my old one because of anything to do with this company. I closed it out due to a hacker getting in and having my account info so I closed it and opened a new one. I think Thursday sounds about right so if they are trying to pay me, I won't yell. I will probably wait until Friday.

I'd give it more time than that. I work for an MTSO in NY and I live in Minnesota and it sometimes takes up to 9 days to get my check. I also work for another MTSO in NY and it takes 6+ days to get that one.

I would allow at least 10 days. Yes, I said 10 days--if you are dealing with the USPS. It can sometimes take a long time for domestic mail. I think you are jumping the gun if you yell before then and may jeopardize your relationship with the service. Good luck.

I've had things mailed to me from the state in which I live that for some inexplicable reason have taken at least 5 days, then other things mailed to me from out of state sometimes get here in 3 days. The USPS is the government, after all, so there's really no rhyme or reason to why it takes some things longer than others.

If it doesn't show in 10 days, I'd perhaps suggest that if they could overnight you a check via FedEx and that you'll promptly return the previously-mailed check. I'm actually a bit surprised they didn't offer to overnight you a check when the direct deposit didn't go through but I guess some companies do things differently.

In any event, I hope you get your money soon...It's terrible having to sit and wait for a check like that!

I am on a troublesome account that is fairly new to the company and is a mix of VR and straight transcripiton. When it first started, there was plenty of work. All that work has now dried up. I am lucky if I get a total of 400 lines per day. Am a current Mt looking to get into coding, specifically looking at Andrews. I am not familiar with coding at all, so this may be a dumb question to those familiar with it - but here goes! Would it make more sense to wait until the implementation of ICD-10 to invest in the courses or is this a mute point pretty much?
